Terms of use

The ground rules for using this website. Short, and in plain language.

This site is information, not advice

Everything on delfuntlaw.com is general information about immigration, criminal defense and personal injury law. It is not legal advice, it is not tailored to your situation, and laws and agency processing times change. Do not act or refrain from acting on anything here without speaking to a lawyer about your own facts.

No attorney-client relationship

Reading this site, submitting the confidential intake or contact form, calling the firm, or receiving a reply does not make you a client of Delfunt Law Firm. An attorney-client relationship begins only when you and the firm sign a written engagement agreement. Until then, please do not send us anything you would consider privileged, beyond what the intake asks for.

Prospective clients

Information you share while asking us to consider your matter is treated as confidential under the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct, whether or not we take your case. We run a conflict check before any consultation and will tell you promptly if we cannot help.

No promises about results

Nothing on this site predicts or guarantees an outcome. Any description of a past matter is provided with the reminder that prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome, and every case is different.

Your use of the site

  • Use the site only for lawful purposes and do not attempt to interfere with its operation or security.
  • The text, images, script mark and design are the property of Delfunt Law Firm or its licensors; you may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use with attribution.
  • Links to other sites, including government resources, are provided for convenience. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content.

Accessibility, privacy and language

How we collect and use information is described on the Privacy page. Our accessibility commitment and how to report a problem are on the Accessibility page. Spanish pages are provided for convenience; if a Spanish and English page differ, the English page governs the firm’s obligations.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the site changes; the date below is the current version. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and any dispute about the site itself belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Forsyth County, Georgia.
