Criminal defense in Cherokee County

Former prosecutor. Now defending across Georgia.

If your case is in Cherokee County, Brandon started his career in that courthouse. He began his twelve years as a prosecutor in the Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office, and he knows the Canton courthouse, the Cherokee County judges, and the way cases move through Superior and State Court, from traffic stops to Superior Court felonies.

The courts

  • Cherokee County Superior Court, Frank C. Mills III Justice Center, 90 North Street, Canton: felonies
  • Cherokee County State Court, same building: misdemeanors, DUI, traffic
  • Cherokee County Magistrate Court: first appearances and warrants
  • Cherokee County Adult Detention Center, 498 Chattin Drive, Canton

What is different about Cherokee

Cherokee is smaller than Gwinnett and more personal. Prosecutors and judges know the defense bar, reputations matter, and a lawyer who has tried cases in that building is treated differently from one who has not. Cherokee also runs strong accountability courts. Brandon started his career prosecuting here and still knows the people in the room.
