Meet JoannaHow a consultation works
- You start with the confidential intake. The intake asks the screening questions important for the consultation. If there is nothing we can do or no value we can add, we will let you know in advance or, if possible, refer you to another lawyer.
- We read it, and we reply. Within one business day you hear whether this is a matter we can take on, and if not, where to go instead.
- You book your consultation. The consult can be in person or by video or phone. Consultations generally last an hour and require payment of the consult fee.
- You leave with a plan. What you qualify for, what it will need from you, and the honest timeline immigration agencies control.
Common questions
Is the consultation free?
No. Immigration consultations are paid. They typically last an hour. Criminal and personal injury consults are free.
Do you handle cases outside Georgia?
Yes. Immigration is federal law, so we represent clients in every state and in immigration courts across the country. Many clients never visit the Cumming office.
Will my information be kept confidential?
Yes. Everything you share through the intake form or in a consultation is confidential, whether or not you become a client. We do not share intake details with anyone outside the firm.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. We have Spanish speakers that work for our firm and are available to interpret.
Do you speak in other languages – Vietnamese, French, Arabic, Malayalam, Hindi, etc.?
Our associate attorney speaks Vietnamese and translates for our Vietnamese clients. We also have access to a language line and can connect with an interpreter in just about any language when needed. Language is not a barrier to us being able to communicate with you.
When you are ready, we are here.
Every intake is read with care. If yours is not a matter we can genuinely help with, we will tell you before you have spent anything.
